M. Francisca B. B. de Alvarenga is currently working on her PhD in Comparative Studies at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon (FLUL). She is a Member in Training at the Centre for Comparative Studies at FLUL. She completed her Master’s Degree in Intercultural Studies at Aarhus University, Denmark, and was awarded her BA in Arts and Humanities, with a Major in English Studies, at FLUL. She is a member of the Editorial Board at estrema. Her research areas cover Queer Studies, Gender Studies, Literature, Cinema and Television, Media, Necropolitics, and (Neo)-Victorianism.
